Cortijo El Azahar, welcome to your own corner of paradise! Completely private cortijo set among orange groves and overlooking the village of Bedar and excellent views of the Sierra Cabrera mountain range and the Mediterranean sea.

This luxury 4 bedroom cortijo including guest annexe, has recently been refurbished by our sister company Elegant Homes.  The cortijo features numerous orange, lemon, olive and almond terraces on a two acre site.  Access is down a steep private road to a private parking area.  Stairs lead you down to the entrance terrace. There is also a ramped entrance through the back of the property. In the courtyard, accessed from the kitchen and sitting room, there is a traditional built in pizza oven and barbeque: perfect to try out homemade pizza or barbequed whole trout with freshly picked lemons from the gardens. The entrance terrace, with wonderful views is perfect for breakfast and overlooks the pool and heated jacuzzi.

The Almacen (Guest Annexe)

Accessed from the pool level is the ‘Almacen’, an independent annexe with spectacular views through a bi-fold glass curtain wall.  The annexe has its own shower room and small kitchenette with fridge.  A wifi router and an air conditioning unit has also been installed. It also benefits from its own private terrace.

Ground Floor 

The double front door of the property opens into a traditionally styled dining/sitting area with breakfast bar and kitchen beyond.  The main reception room is found on a split level with TV (English and Spanish channels).

There is a spacious ground floor double bedroom with French doors to the courtyard off the main reception room.  There is a downstairs shower room and separate toilet. On the first floor, the roomy master bedroom has a Juliette balcony with panoramic sea and mountain views and an ensuite shower room.  The second bedroom on the first floor has double doors onto an additional outside room and access to a roof terrace and has sole use of the adjacent family bathroom.

First Floor

All bedrooms and living areas have air conditioning fitted for both heating and cooling and the two reception rooms have log burners for those colder winter evenings.  There is wifi throughout and the cortijo has mosquito screens fitted throughout with rejas on the outside.

The Pool

The gated pool terrace has a 8mx4m private pool, a selection of sun loungers and a heated jacuzzi.
