Casa Cueva Mojon - A country house in the Albox area. (Partially Reformed)

Located just off the rambla this property is a large house with some cave rooms that have been renovated (158m2) and an additional part which needs to be renovated (174m2). The house has been empty for a couple of years so the main part of the house requires some TLC as well, but with little cost could be brought back to its former condition.

A concrete driveway leads to a flat area of land to the front of the house which provides a good parking space in the shade of a large carob tree.

The main door opens into a wide hallway with the stairs to the first floor on the right. The hallway gives access to the mid section of the house (non cave) and is comprised of a large room divided mid way by a central fireplace, the first part of this room has been used as a dining room and the second as the small lounge/snug. A door leads from the dining room to the kitchen. From the lounge a door takes us to the family bathroom which comprises full size bath with shower over, WC and basin. A further door in the lounge opens into two adjoining cave rooms which could be used as bedrooms, the first room being a good size with ample space for a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

From the dining room double doors open into a short internal hallway which takes us to a gorgeous cave room previously used as the master bedroom, with inset lighting and unusually high ceiling. An additional door in the dining room links the house to the cave rooms and the part of the house that still need work.

The marble staircase takes us to a large room on the first floor which would make a great living room with patio doors leading out onto a sheltered roof terrace. Off this room which is large enough to create an additional two bedrooms if required is a spacious double bedroom with space enough to create an en-suite as well. From the far end of the living room a door leads out to a sunroom.

The unfinished part of the house consists of two rooms in reasonable condition, one with which the addition of a door to the exterior could create an annexe. Cave rooms in good condition lead off from here and to another room where the roof has fallen in which could be renovated or could be demolished to create additional garden space. To the side of the houses are various animal rooms in poor condition.

To the rear of the property is plot of land part of which is flat with almond trees and the water deposit. The house benefits from mains water and electricity as well as access to irrigation water.

Within a 10 minute drive of Albox this quirky house would make a great family home.
