La Algarobina Las Cunas : We are pleased to bring to the market a superb country property. Located only 5 minutes to the Town of Vera and 5 minutes to the only desert golf course, Desert Springs, and just 15 minutes to the beaches of vera Playa, Garrucha and Mojacar.
This fabulous property has a lot to offer. As you approach the property you are greeted by large double gates down a well-manicured driveway with a well-kept concrete parking area for multiple cars and to one side a double garage. This takes you to the stunning entrance of the property and to the large spacious entrance with stairs and with rooms going off of this welcoming, light and airy entrance, equipped with ceiling fan. Left of the entrance room you will find a spacious modern living room with a modern fire, through double doors then takes you into a conservatory area, which then takes you through double patio doors onto the beautiful large swimming pool, bar and BBQ area. The concept of the lounge and conservatory means you can close the double doors to make two TV lounges or open it up to make a lovely entertaining space.
Back into the entrance and off to the right you will find a large double principal bedroom with a nice size en-suite shower room, built in wardrobes and a storage cupboard. Down the corridor you will find a further 2 good-sized bedrooms, both with their own en-suite shower rooms. A large family bathroom has access to the pool area which is great for changing and using facilities when using the pool. The main hub of this house and a fabulous space is the kitchen / diner. A lovely large well-equipped kitchen opening up on to a spacious dining area really has a social and family aspect to this villa, a utility room off of the kitchen enables a separate area for washing and storage.
Upstairs you will find a room that is currently being used as a gym / second lounge. However, this space has in the past been used as a bedroom, making this a 4-bed villa. From both sides of this room, you have access to multiple terraces for privacy and catching those all-important Spanish rays. One of the terraces leads to a separate large room that is above the garages. This room is currently being used as snooker room, but there are future prospects of turning this area as well as the garage as a separate living annex or apartment, all the facilities are in place for this to be achievable.
The outside space of this area is just fabulous, from the downstairs utility you will find a large wall enclosed area, ideal for washing or a quiet place for reading and relaxing. The pool area is large with plenty of room for sunbathing, it boasts a large newly tiled pool, well-kept low maintenance garden areas, and a bar with BBQ as well, ideal for entertaining. It is a very private space and not over-looked. A large piece of land/ garden area is laid to stone chippings and trees, there are possibilities to make changes to this land if required, but it is low maintenance if kept as it is. There are several rooms that have access to the garden areas which makes this villa very open. This Villa has been renovated over the years, and the look of the property has a lovely Spanish yet modern feel to it.
This villa really is a must-see property and it is an ideal family home but also a great investment opportunity and, in the past, has been rented out for summer holiday rentals, yielding a high return. In close proximity to bars, supermarkets, banks, health centres and restaurants yet still having this country vibe, the property is marketed to a realistic price, has all the amenities such as Wi-Fi and air conditioning and comes fully furnished. A must-see property for anyone looking for value, space, close to amenities, beaches and an investment.
Local Area
Vera is a small town approximately 10 km from the coast although the municipality extends to the sea shore where, a tourist settlement, known as Vera Playa, has been developed. Originally called Baria and located at Villaricos (Rich Village, due to the silver mining industry) Vera relocated in the 13th century. The Christian conquest in 1488, an earthquake in 1518 and the Moorish rebellion in 1568 have all contributed to the character of the town. Legend has it the old town was buried after the earthquake and that an arrow was fired. The existing town grew from where it landed.
Vera has a particularly attractive tree-lined town square, Plaza Mayor, with a central fountain, boutiques and street cafés. There are several buildings of historical interest: the Town Hall, 16th and 17th century, The Convent de los Padres Mínimos, 17th century, the Church of the Encarnación, 16th century, built as a fortress to protect the village against pirates, Church of San Agustín, 16th century and the Chapel of Nuestra Señora de las Huertas, 19th century. The Plaza de Toros, Bullring, built in 1879, is the setting for many fiestas, bull fighting and other cultural displays. There are many wonderful pieces of architecture and folklore to be explored, much of which is lovingly explained in the Ethnographic and Archaeological Museum.
Vera Playa now forms the main economic activity of Vera and is itself divided into various small areas which locals refer to when identifying a particular location. Las Buganvilleas, Pueblo Laguna and Puerto Rey are the best known and most popular areas.
Since 1990, Vera Playa has developed into an important centre for naturism There are several apartment complexes, including Natsun, La Manera, Bahia de Vera and Vera Natura, where naturism is officially permitted, and about two kilometres of beach have been reserved for their use. The only naturist hotel in Spain, the Vera Playa Club Hotel, is also located in Vera Playa.
Saturday is market day in Vera town centre where you can find a huge assortment of goods being offered for sale and is arguably one of the best street markets in the area. The local bars & restaurants offer a welcome respite with an array of tapas and pastries, as well as very varied meal options, to suit all palates.
