On paper, for some people perhaps the pool being at the front of the property is not the right place to enjoy it in privacy; however, in this instance it has been proven to be the right choice. Screened by a wall to the front and trees and shrubs to the side the pool is indeed private and the sun is on it from early morning until late afternoon extending the usable period compared to one being in shade for part of the day.

Moving around the property there are mature Mediterranean planted gardens to both sides; a pergola covered terrace on the north corner of the villa, ideal for escaping the hot afternoon soon; a storage shed; a second sail covered terrace; pergola covered car port and staircase leading to the roof top solarium.

The solarium as a space that has not been developed by the current owners as they have never felt the need to use it with having so much space at ground level. However, another pergola could be added along with seating and dining furniture or even a hot tub!

The beaches of Mojácar, Garrucha and Vera are only 15 minutes drive away and the local village of Los Gallardos 2 minutes. With the new pedestrian access to the village it is never been easier to take a walk to use the facilities. 

Los Gallardos has a variety of bars and restaurants providing both traditional Spanish fare and English dishes too. With two small supermarkets and the weekly street market offering a large selection of fresh fruit and vegetables that’s the food shopping taken care of too.

The A7/E15 is close by making travelling times to Almería, Murcia and Alicante airports 45, 80 and 120 minutes respectively.

Golfers have a varied selection of courses to choose from in the area including Marina Playa on the coast, the Arizona style course at Desert Springs and the Valle del Este with 4* Hotel & Spa just a few kilometres away.

Skiing in the morning and being down on the beach in the afternoon is possible with Sierra Nevada ski resort being only approximately 2½ hours away and in recent years has grown in popularity with some of the best snowfalls in Europe. 

Walking, bowls and craft clubs are also plentiful so there is always something that you can get involved with should you wish to.

Los Gallardos is a popular destination for Spanish and tourists alike for the annual Three Kings celebration and re-enactment in January and also the July fiesta. The village has received considerable funding to build a new health centre, school and sports facilities with a new cultural centre recently being completed too.
